Advantage Wrestling Club, one of the state’s elite off-season training clubs, will once again be returning to Brighton this spring for their Spring Training Club.

Advantage WC is ran by Eastern Michigan University Head Wrestling Coach David Bolyard and is assisted by EMU Assistant Coaches Luke Smith and Scott Mattingly.

“I am pumped to have Coach Bolyard and his staff returning to Brighton to run Advantage in Brighton this Spring,” said BHS Coach Tony Greathouse.  “I have been around the Advantage system for a long time and I can confidently say that nobody does a better job of teaching and hammering home fundamentally sound technique and position to help our wrestlers get the to the next level and compete for state titles.”

AWC begins at Brighton on Tuesday, April 14th and will go every Tuesday and Thursday from April 14th through June 4th.  Practices are held from 6-8pm in the BHS Wrestling Room.  The cost for the full session of 16 practices is $200 or wrestlers can sign up as 1/2 time participants for $150 and train in 8 sessions.  Walk-in wrestlers will be allowed as well for $20 per practice.

This year, Advantage WC members fared quite well at the MHSAA State Championships with 28 State Placers and 3 State Champions from the club.
