NEW! Bulldog Elite WC starts next month

BulldogEliteBrighton Wrestling is proud to announce the start of the BULLDOG ELITE Wrestling Club.  Bulldog Elite will begin next month with an 8 week training program geared around Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling.

“Our Brighton WC has seen tremendous growth this year, and I am extremely excited to start up the Bulldog Elite WC to add another avenue for youth and high school wrestlers in the Brighton Area and Livingston County to continue to improve and be engaged in this great sport.” said Brighton High School Head Wrestling Coach Tony Greathouse.

Bulldog Elite will be ran by BHS Assistant Coach Kyle Hansen, a former NCAA Division 1 Coach for 10 years at Ohio University who was also a 2x NCAA All-American for the University of Northern Iowa.

“Kyle (Hansen) was a huge addition to our coaching staff this year, the guy has coached numerous NCAA Qualifiers and All-Americans and he was a huge part of making Ohio U one of the top teams in the MAC,” said Greathouse. “It is rare to find someone with his skill and experience level to work with high school wrestlers, so I feel like it is our duty to set up a club like this where not only our kids can train with him, but others in the area can have the opportunity to work with Kyle as well.”

Assisting Hansen will be BWC Middle School Coach Jordan Thomas, a former 3x State Champ at Greenville who wrestled for 3 years at the University of Michigan, as well as BHS Assistant Coach Corbin Boone, a recent graduate of the Cleveland State Wrestling program.

The Bulldog Elite practices begin on Tuesday, April 5th and will run every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6-8pm through May 26th.  The cost to join Bulldog Elite for the spring will be $175 for the full 2 month session.
